WrestleMania season is upon us and if there is one name that is synonymous with the event, it is that of The Undertaker. The Undertaker had the most unique streak in WWE where he went undefeated at WrestleMania for 21 years before being defeated by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.

Taker also had his last match at WrestleMania 36 against AJ Styles in a boneyard match which he won and it was one the best cinematic matches in WWE history. The Deadman announced his retirement and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year and before getting off stage, he said one thing, “Never Say Never.”

Naturally that had all the fans clamoring for one more match and now that WrestleMania is around the corner, fans are speculating if we will see Taker at Mania. But those rumors were put to rest as WWE announced that Taker will telecast his ‘1 deadMAN show’ on March 31. It will be held one day before WrestleMania and even if The Undertaker does appear at WrestleMania, it will be as a guest appearance and not in a match.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Taker said, “WrestleMania has been such an important part of my life and career and it’s exciting to bring the 1 deadMan Show to Los Angeles as part of this year’s festivities. I have so many great WrestleMania stories and look forward to sharing them with everyone who comes out to The Novo on March 31.”

Kurt Angle thinks The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak should not have been broken

The Undertaker had an aura around him that no wrestler ever could even think of having. Such was his personality. He struck fear into the hearts of his opponents and often defeated them before the bell even rang. The Deadman also had one more thing that was very unique and that was his undefeated WrestleMania streak. He won for 21 consecutive years at Mania before he was defeated by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle had many matches with Taker and revealed that he did not want the undefeated streak to be broken. Speaking on the Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist said, “Undertaker should have retired undefeated at WrestleMania. That streak should have been set in stone forever. He should be the only undefeated wrestler from WrestleMania because he went that many years, he went what, 28, 29, 30 years?”

Angle continued, “His legacy should be set in stone as the only undefeated person at WrestleMania that wrestled more than 10 matches, because there are undefeated wrestlers that are 4-0, or 5-0 at WrestleMania but nobody has gone 25-plus matches and went undefeated.”
