Triple H unveils a new WWE Universal Championship belt for Roman Reigns on this Friday Night SmackDown. Triple H said that the company will gift Roman Reigns a brand new belt as a gift for being undefeated and reigning for 1000+ days as champion. Roman has written his name in the history book of WWE for his recent title reign.
Roman Reigns completed his 1,000-day reign at WWE Night of Champions 2023. Although he didn’t win his tag-team match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn because of the betrayal of Jimmy Uso. Many people believed that he will for sure enter the 1000-day legendary club. He may even beat Perdo Morales’ record soon. He still needs to hold on to the championship for 20 days more to reach that incredible milestone.
Reigns’ 1,000th day with the Universal Championship was in line with WWE Night of Champions. Although that was definitely a coincidence, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa were all set to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team championship belt. But Jimmy Uso snapped at the most crucial time when Roman started pushing Jay and told him to get lost. Jimmy Uso then super-kicked him twice knocking him out of the ring. Sami and Owens took advantage of that and pin Solo Sikoa to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against The Bloodline. Even after winning the match, Sami kept taunting Roman that he got what he deserve.
At Friday Night SmackDown, Roman and Reigns and WWE celebrated his 1000+ days reign as champion in WWE. WWE and Triple H gifted him a brand new WWE Universal Championship belt for carrying the torch for so long all alone. Roman Reigns for sure entertained the wrestling fans whether in solo matches, tag matches, or with his mic skills. WWE provided them with equal opportunities for the Bloodline with such a unique storyline that will continue to entertain wrestling fans for quite some time.
During the course of Roman Reigns’ 1000-days as champion, he had some magnificent matches with various other wrestlers, some of the fights are worth mentioning like SummerSlam match with Brock Lesnar, Hell in a Cell with Jay Uso, Elimination Chamber with Sami Zayn and the WrestleMania 39 main event with Cody Rhodes.
