The WWE has had many wrestlers in the past that wowed fans with great matches and excellent mic skills but no one comes close to what The Rock accomplished during his time with the company. The People’s Champ took a mediocre character and transformed himself into a worldwide superstar and in the process transcended the company into a different stratosphere. The Brahma Bull, who himself comes from a family of wrestlers was a great wrestler and his promo work was second to none. Like every other top superstar, The Rock had his fair share of WrestleMania moments and in this article, we will take a look at some of his best matches at the grandest stage of them all.

The Rock vs Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania 18)

The People’s Champ took on the Hulkster at WrestleMania 18 in what was truly a crowd-pleaser. It was icon vs icon and it basically pitted the greatest star of the 80s (Hulk Hogan) vs the greatest star of the 90s (The Rock). The crowd was absolutely electric for this match as the two men went at it as soon as the bell rang. The reason that made the match this great was the reaction of the fans to every single move that was performed by the greats in the ring. This particular match was truly one of The Rock’s best matches ever just for the sheer magnitude of it.

The Rock vs John Cena (WrestleMania 28)

John Cena made some derogatory comments towards The Rock and that obviously did not go down well with the Great One. The Brahma Bull did not waste time and immediately started a feud with the leader of the Cenation with both men trading verbal insults towards each other. The two men agreed to take on each other at WrestleMania 28 in a match that was billed “Once In A Lifetime”. The match started and both powerhouses went back and forth. Cena then delivered not one but two Attitude Adjustments but to no avail. The Rock then performed a Rock Bottom and The People’s Elbow but that resulted in a two-count. Cena, in an attempt to mock The Rock, attempted to do the People’s Elbow only for The Rock to counter with a Rock Bottom. Three counts later and The Rock successfully pinned Cena.

Stone Cold Steve Austin (WrestleMania 19)

Stone Cold Steve Austin was nearing the end of his WWE career by the time WrestleMania 19 came by. It was his wish to fight The Rock in his last ever match and they did not disappoint. The match began with the two men going at it with rights and lefts. The Rock in typical fashion played the crowd by mocking Austin by wearing his vest. The Texas Rattlesnake had seen enough at this point and gave a Stunner but was unsuccessful with a near fall. The Rock, for his part gave two Rock Bottoms on Austin but even that was not sufficient to put Austin away. He then gave another Rock Botton to win the match.
