While WrestleMania 40 promises to be a blockbuster event with The Rock’s highly anticipated return to the ring, it appears that fans may see more of the People’s Champion in action beyond the grandest stage of them all.

In a recent development reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there’s growing speculation that The Rock could lace up his boots for more than just one match this year, with WWE eyeing a potential showdown in Saudi Arabia, likely against Roman Reigns.

The next Saudi Arabia PPV is slated for May 25th, coinciding with AEW’s Double or Nothing show. Initially, there were discussions about moving The Rock vs. Reigns to this event to maximize its financial potential. However, plans to keep Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania spot and shift Reigns vs. Rock to Saudi Arabia have been circulating among WWE circles.

Saudi Arabia eyes for The Rock

Although nothing is set in stone, there’s a concerted effort within the company to secure The Rock’s participation in at least one Saudi Arabia event this year, adding another chapter to his storied wrestling career.

The Rock’s WrestleMania buildup has been nothing short of electrifying, with his recent promo on social media generating significant buzz. In a surprising turn of events, The Great One delivered a 21-minute verbal onslaught, addressing the WrestleMania challenge and issuing a fiery response to Cody Rhodes, setting the stage for their anticipated showdown.

With WrestleMania on the horizon and the possibility of a dual-match scenario involving The Rock, WWE fans are in for an exhilarating ride as the wrestling landscape continues to evolve in 2024.
