Sincara made his WWE debut in 2011 as he was serving a 30-day ban for violating the WWE wellness program. Sincara was part of a battle royale to determine the #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He was the last man eliminated by the winner, Mark Henry.

Sincara once thought Curt Hawkins was Edge

Curt Hawkins also known as Brian Myers appeared on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast. Hawkins signed with WWE in 2006, where he was presented as Brian Myers and teamed up with Bret Matthews. Curt shared a funny story about Sincara when they first met in WWE backstage.

Curt said when he met Sincara for the first time in WWE. Sincara ran up to him and shook his hands. He said he was a big fan of his. Hawkins was shocked and confused that something is wrong. Later Hawkins got to know that Sincara mistook him for Edge which was quite hilarious to see.

“When Sin Cara arrived in WWE in 2011 and joined the dressing room, he did everything he could to get to me. He shook my hand. He told me he was so excited to finally meet me in person. I didn’t understand why his emotion was so great. Then I found out Sin Cara got confused. He thought I was Edge.”

When wrestlers join a new promotion like WWE or any other wrestling organization, it is not uncommon for them to have a list of superstars they admire or would like to meet. Meeting and interacting with established stars can be an exciting and meaningful experience for newcomers, as they have the opportunity to learn from and potentially form relationships with more experienced wrestlers.

La Familia

La Familia was a storyline faction that formed in 2008 and consisted of Edge, Curt Hawkins, and Zack Ryder (known at the time as Brian Myers and Brett Major, respectively). The purpose of La Familia was to help Edge in his quest for championship success and maintain his position as a top villainous character in WWE.
