On WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes will square off. The Tribal Chief had a few words to say on Twitter before this epic program. Cody Rhodes punched his way to WrestleMania 39 by winning the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble, eventually defeating Gunther. The Head of the Table overcame Kevin Owens to keep the Undisputed WWE Universal Title on the same night. Thus, with Rhodes winning Royal Rumble it was decided as the main event at WrestleMania 39.

So far, Paul Heyman has been the Bloodline’s representative in front of Cody Rhodes. The former ECW owner got things personal a few weeks ago when he announced that his client was Dusty Rhodes’s long-desired son. They just had another verbal altercation, but the former AEW EVP has yet to see Roman Reigns in person. That will change on Friday night. The former Shield member discussed the imminent showdown before the highly anticipated episode.

Cody Rhodes will also go toe-to-toe with another Bloodline member when he faces Solo Sikoa at a Road to WrestleMania live event. On March 12, 2023, the fight will take place in the historic Madison Square Garden.

Cody Rhodes teases a potential match against a 53-year-old WWE veteran

Cody Rhodes is the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. He hinted about a possible rematch with his brother, AEW star Dustin Rhodes. The Rhodes brothers have only wrestled each other once in AEW in their 16 years together. It happened almost four years ago at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

Dustin Rhodes’ WWE contract expired in 2019, and he joined AEW the following year. The American Nightmare will then battle his brother at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. The brothers went to war, and Cody eventually defeated his brother after roughly 25 minutes. The two then joined forces to establish the Nightmare Family faction.

The American Nightmare was recently questioned on the AJ Awesome Show if he would ever have a rematch with his brother Dustin Rhodes. Cody said that it would absolutely happen “100%”. But, he also stated that their match at AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view was well-received and that putting on a better bout would be a mammoth job.

“I could say a hundred percent it’ll happen ’cause that’s how families work. You find each other again. Or, I could also say zero percent, and the reason I can say zero percent is because Double or Nothing was such a difficult match for both of us. It was widely respected by the industry. It was really special for us both, very hard to top as far as against one another,” Cody Rhodes said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
