Since he was removed from television a year ago, Randy Orton has been severely missed by the WWE fanbase. Kurt Angle has already given a favorable update, but things were looking dark in the later stages for The Apex Predator’s rehabilitation following a catastrophic injury. One of the most fascinating stars in WWE history, The Viper has earned numerous honors within the organization. During his last run before getting hurt, he and his tag team partner Matt Riddle let free and enjoyed themselves.

But it all came crumbling down when a back injury sustained during a decade of ring wear and tear necessitated surgery. As his father, Cowboy Bob Orton, claimed in an interview, doctors have advised The Viper not to return to the ring, Orton’s back ailment may have put a damper on his professional career.

The Kurt Angle Show

Orton recuperated from his back surgery and is now well enough to rejoin WWE, according to Kurt Angle, who made the announcement on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show. “Doing good man. He recovered from his back surgery. He’s, I think he’s gonna come back pretty damn soon. He’s doing much better, yes.” Expressed Angle on his podcast.

‘He’s training’

Before Kurt Angle, Randy Orton’s father, ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, provided an update on The Viper in May 2023. Despite his son’s return to training, the veteran claimed that physicians had warned him against returning to the ring. “He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he need [sic] to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.” Revealed Bob Orton.

WWE has plans

Randy Orton has been remaining silent and taking advantage of his free time. Following the back injury, there was widespread speculation that Orton would be hanging up his boots soon due to the damage his body has sustained over the years. But it doesn’t appear to be the case. According to a Xero News story, WWE has prepared a plan for Randy Orton’s comeback. According to rumors, Orton’s time in the ring is far from over, and some are even advocating for him to make a comeback at Money in the Bank 2023. But for a big surprise, his comeback might be postponed until SummerSlam.
