News broke this morning that Vince voluntarily stepped down from his position as CEO and that his daughter Stephanie McMahon has taken up the role of interim CEO and chairwoman.

WWE has reported that Vince McMahon will show up on SmackDown and will reportedly be in character which is strange given that there are serious allegations of misconduct against the CEO of WWE. News broke this morning that Vince voluntarily stepped down from his position as CEO and that his daughter Stephanie McMahon has taken up the role of interim CEO and chairwoman.
Even though Mr McMahon will be in character inside the ring, SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee has revealed that he has no idea about what’s going to happen on the show. McAfee was on the Pat McAfee Show when he took the time to address the news of the allegations made against Mr McMahon. McAfee said, “As of this morning, Stephanie McMahon is now interim CEO and interim chairwoman, and tonight on SmackDown, Vince McMahon ‘Mr. McMahon’ will be appearing. I have no idea what’s happening when I fly into Minneapolis, this afternoon.”
He continued, “I had Charles Barkley here to start the day and I’m heading to Minneapolis, with obviously a company that’s been around for a very long time and I’ve been a fan of for my, basically my entire life and it’s in one of the biggest most crucial times in the history and I’m just going to be right there.”

It was not long ago when Pat McAfee made his WrestleMania debut against Theory and defeated him and had his WrestleMania moment. After the match, McAfee challenged Vince McMahon, who was in Theory’s corner to an impromptu match. Once the match got underway, Theory interfered and helped Vince get the win over the former NFL player. Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up and saved Pat in what was a truly awesome moment.
In the same episode, McAfee revealed that he has no idea what might happen on SmackDown. He said, “My life is a glitch in the simulation. I understand that and just like everybody else, I have no idea what’s happening tonight and I sent out a couple of texts, like, ‘Like, hey with the tweet from the WWE saying Mr McMahon will appear on it,’ I’m like, ‘How’s this going in?’ The response I got was, ‘Nobody knew this was happening.’”
