Stephanie McMahon began working on a WWE plot line with Triple H in late 1999. The Game was in a relationship with fellow celebrity Chyna at the time. In the meantime, The Multibillion Princess was dating someone else. WWE Executive Bruce Prichard disclosed a few specifics about Stephanie’s love life before dating Triple H during an episode of his Something to Wrestle podcast.
An episode of WWE Executive Bruce Prichard’s podcast Something to Wrestle included some information on Stephanie’s relationships before she met Triple H. “Yeah, she had a boyfriend best of my knowledge [in 1999]. I only met a couple of her boyfriends a couple of times and they were all nice guys. The last one before Triple H was, I think he was a baseball player. Was just real quiet. Nice guy. And the other one, I think, guy she was dating during this time was somebody from high school, somebody that she had known for a while. But she always had, you know, they were always real nice. I didn’t think anything of it.”
Triple H and Stephanie became romantically involved while working in tandem on the McMahon-Helmsley storyline. They dated for a few years before getting married in 2003. They have three daughters together now. Claims that Bruce Prichard had a connection with Stephanie McMahon were denied by the prior.
However, Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler indicated a few years back that she had a romantic relationship with current WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard. “Hey, Stephanie McMahon is hot. Do you think she’s wild in the sack? Well, that’s what Bruce Prichard told me,” Lawler said on the Mancow radio show. Lawler’s remarks sparked rumors that The Billion Dollar Princess may have slept with Prichard, which infuriated the WWE veteran, according to reports.
In a subsequent episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast in 2019, Bruce refuted the rumors. “[Can’t imagine that that went over real well at your house or hers] No, it didn’t. Not at all. And, you know, again it was Jerry Lawler in a desperate place, I think he was saying things to hurt people and stir sh*t. And he accomplished that. But when that affects me personally at home, and obviously, not true. You know, the innuendo was that I had an affair with Stephanie. Not true. Never in any way, shape, or form. She was my boss, and it’s just unnecessary, mean-spirited, and bad judgment on his part. Again, now, to me, you’re f**king with people’s family. You know, Hunter and Stephanie were together at the time and I’m married with kids,” he said.
Stephanie McMahon has had a number of positions with the Stamford-based business over the last five years. She assumed these roles after her father, Vince McMahon, retired last year. The Billion Dollar Princess left WWE earlier this year, though, as her father rejoined the organization to take the position of Executive Chairman. Triple H, Stephanie’s husband, is still employed at the Stamford-based business despite her departure. The Chief Content Officer at the moment is him.
