Ava Raine, a “WWE NXT” Superstar, seems to have undergone yet another name change. According to the WWE website, the member of Schism goes by the name Ava because she no longer has a last name. One of the first to tweet about the development was Wrestling News. The Schism member, who is the eldest child of WWE Icon Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, no longer goes by the name “Raine,” according to WWE.

Vic Joseph referred to Ava as just “Ava” on this week’s NXT, and the change has been made to her official WWE roster biography. Thea Hail of Chase University is now a character in a plot involving Ava and The Schism. Hail was kidnapped by Ava two weeks ago while she was on set with Tiffany Stratton. Hail was taunted by Ava, Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, and Jagger Reid during this week’s NXT match, which he lost to Stratton.

Using her real name

As previously mentioned, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s daughter was originally confirmed to use the ring name Ava Raine in May 2022. In 2020, she joined WWE under her true name Simone Johnson. On the “NXT” show airing on October 25, Ava made her on-screen debut and was identified as the fourth member of Joe Gacy’s stable Schism. There is also a stable for the tag team The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler).

Ava on NXT

Ava hasn’t competed in a match on “NXT,” however she is now involved in a storyline involving Thea Hail from Chase University. She kidnapped Hail during the “NXT” episode from February 7 and choked him to death. Later, while Andre Chase and Duke Hudson were battling Pretty Deadly, Hail broke free and yelled out to the ring. Schism’s distinctive smiling face pins were all over her clothing. Ava made an appearance in the audience during Hail’s bout with Tiffany Stratton on “NXT” on February 14.

This caused Hail to lose the match. Ava did respond to Tuesday’s acts on social media. “Just stopping in to say hi,” she tweeted in response to the post of a video showing her amid the crowd. It will be intriguing to watch if the two will soon have the opportunity to square off in the ring. The next significant “NXT” occasion is Roadblock on March 7.

Ava Raine on Twitter

Despite having “A V A” as her display name, Raine currently maintains the @AvaRaineWWE handle on Twitter. Vic Joseph only alluded to her as “Ava” during her brief visit on NXT this week, as you can see in the WrestlingNews report linked below. On the name change, Raine has not yet made any remarks.
