Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. McMahon opened up on company chairman Vince McMahon’s reaction to his real-life feud with stalwart John Cena. He claimed that McMahon had laughed off the altercation between him and the 16-time World Champion. It should be noted that the former writer and Cena did not share good relationship during his formative years. These altercations also led to argument between the duo time and again. It also saw the WWE star interrupting a promo class organized by Prinze Jr. McMahon during his time at the company.

“I sit down and Vince goes, ‘So, heard you had a little problem with Cena today. (Vince laughs)’ I was like, ‘Nah, man,’ – I try to downplay it and go, ‘I think he’s testing me. All you guys like to test me.’ And he goes, ‘Ah, don’t worry about it, I’m the only one that can fire you.’ And Kevin (Dunn) laughs at Vince’s joke. And I’m like, ‘Man, that wasn’t even that good.”

The former writer also explained that the chairman told him to only worry about him and not anyone else as it is only him that holds the power to fire him from the company.

“But I learned in that moment, (it was a way of Vince telling him) ‘Don’t worry about it, keep doing your thing. If they’re giving you crap, I’m the only one that you need to worry about giving you crap. You could take it from everyone else,” he further explained.

Prinze Jr also went on to reveal that Cena did not interrupt him from his promo classes further during his stint. He mentioned that the duo turned out to be going on well with one another following the first incident and never had an altercation all over again.

The American was a writer, producer and actor before taking over the stint with the company from 2008 to 2012. It is also noticeable that he was a part of the movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and its sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), She’s All That (1999), Summer Catch (2001), Scooby-Doo (2002), and its sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004).

It should also be noted that it was McMahon who added Theory to the Royal Rumble match. The other RAW stars for the event to be confirmed are The Street Profits, Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Big E, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. Triple H had meanwhile formed a unit for the NXT which was supposed to be brought into the main roster after Vince McMahon made his way away from the brand.
