WWE Legend and Hall of Famer, Stone Cold Steve Austin was talking about CM Punk having built a terrifying career in the wrestling world. While saying he doesn’t know about his current situation. Speaking with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his views on the current situation with Punk. He said that he loves Punk and praised his career in WWE.

“Man, I just sent Punk a message last night,” Austin said. “I didn’t know he had torn his triceps, I haven’t been following anything. I don’t know what’s going on with that. Me and Phil trade messages every here and there. We rarely talk, probably once or twice a year.

“I love the guy, and I don’t even know if I mentored him because Punk’s probably a lot smarter than I am. Great promo guy, great worker, he’s got his own thing going and we’re just friends.”

“I think I remember there’s a picture of myself and him from Chicago, my favorite town to work in, my favorite building,” Austin said. “I guess he had come down to where we were all hanging out. Maybe he looked up to me back in the day, but I don’t know if I so much mentored him because I think he paid his own dues.

“He learned it the way he did and he got over on his own merits. The fact that maybe I could have been somewhat of an influence would be flattering if that were the case. But he’s made his own career.”

“I don’t even know what’s going on with the current situation or what they’re doing because right now I rarely watch any of the product,” Austin said. “I watch all the pay-per-views and major pay-per-views, but he’s certainly carved out a hellacious career in his own right by his own right.” This news appeared first on Wrestlezone.

CM Punk WWE Journey

Punk made his debut in WWE in 2006 and quickly rose to prominence with his unique look, exceptional in-ring skills, and charismatic personality. During his WWE tenure, Punk achieved considerable success, capturing numerous championships. He held the prestigious WWE Championship on two separate occasions. His first reign lasted 434 days, making it one of the longest in the modern era.

Punk’s reign as WWE Champion was marked by his infamous “pipe bomb” promo, where he aired his grievances and criticisms of the company, gaining his immense popularity and a reputation as a rebellious figure. In addition to the WWE Championship, Punk also won the World Heavyweight Championship, the ECW Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship.

He achieved the rare distinction of holding both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships simultaneously. Punk’s accomplishments in WWE cemented his status as one of the top stars of his time and a fan favorite.

Despite his successes, Punk’s relationship with WWE became strained, leading to his departure from the company in 2014. Since then, he has pursued various endeavors, including mixed martial arts and acting, but his impact on WWE and the wrestling industry as a whole remains significant.
