Jakub Kochanowski is a Polish volleyball player who competes for PGE Skra Bechatów and the Poland men’s national volleyball team. He is the reigning world champion in 2018, the U19 European Champion in 2015, the U19 World Champion in 2015, the U21 European Champion in 2016, and the U21 World Champion in 2017. Poland was officially crowned the 2018 World Champion on September 30, 2018. Poland defeated Brazil 3-0 in the championship match to retain the trophy they won in 2014.

Including Kochanowski, the Polish men’s national under-19 volleyball team won the U19 European Champion 2015 title on April 12. They defeated Italy’s under-19 team (3-1) in the championship. The first U19 World Champion title was won by Poland on August 23, 2015. His team defeated Argentina, the tournament’s hosts, in the final (3-2). After winning seven out of seven games in the competition and defeating Ukraine U21 in the championship match (3-1), he was crowned the 2016 CEV U20 European Champion on September 10.

After defeating Cuba U21 in the championship game (3-0), Poland U21, which included Kochanowski, won the title of U21 World Champion in 2017. For the entire tournament, Kochanowski received a special award as the Most Valuable Player. He served as the U21 national team’s captain and helped Poland win its fourth boys’ and youth competition championship. His nation’s team never lost and won 47 straight games. His involvement with youth national teams culminated in him being named U21 World Champion. On May 10, 2018, he was introduced as a new player of PGE Skra Bechatów. This came after a successful season with Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, where he finished fourth in the league. Kochanowski joined ZAKSA Kdzierzyn-Kole in 2020. On September 30, 2018, Poland won its third world championship. Poland defeated Brazil 3-0 to win the championship and retain it from 2014.
