Kévin Tillie is a French professional volleyball player. He represents France’s national team. The 2015 World League champion, the 2015 European Champion, and the 2020 Olympic champion. He represents Projekt Warsaw as a professional club player. Tillie studied at UC Irvine Anteaters men’s volleyball and Thompson Rivers WolfPack. With an average of 4 points and 41 kills per set, he earned All-Canadian Team honors. Tillie transferred to the University of California, Irvine Anteaters after finishing his paperwork to play for them in 2012 and 2013. The NCAA championship runs that UC Irvine made in those two years would not have been possible without Tillie. For both years, Tillie was named an AVCA All-American.
2015 saw the transfer to the Polish club ZAKSA Kdzierzyn-Kole. On October 18, 2015, the French national team, which he was a part of, won the title of 2015 European Champions (beating Slovenia 3-0 in the championship game). He captured the title of 2016 Polish Champion on April 26, 2016, working with ZAKSA Kdzierzyn-Kole. He extended his contract until 2017 in May 2016. Tillie decided to continue his career in PlusLiga despite having signed a contract with another Polish club, Jastrzbski Wgiel, in May 2017.
Despite having a contract with Jastrzbski Wgiel, Kevin Tillie informed them in early August 2017 that he intended to join the Chinese league. The club applied to FIVB to block unprofessional situations when a player wants to void a previously signed contract without first fulfilling it because they did not want to cancel their agreement.
