In 2023, Mexico is hosting the 22nd Women’s Under-21 Volleyball World Championship from August 17 to 26, 2023. The tournament, overseen by the top volleyball organization, Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), will feature the best young women volleyball players who are below 21 years old.
Last year, there was a change in the age rule by the FIVB. While previously this tournament was for women under 20 years old, it’s now changed with the same age limit as the men’s and is for those under the age of 21. The most recent championship which took place in 2021 was won by Italy, when they defeated Serbia by 3-0.
On August 24, 2023, Turkey will lock horns with the United States (USA) at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship 2023. Earlier, Turkey topped the Pool D, with three victories and reached the second stage. Meanwhile, the United States came in second in Pool D, with two wins and one defeat, and entered the second stage. Both teams will aim to gain points in order to enter the knockout phase.
