The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023, also the fifth edition of the tournament, began on May 30 and is poised to culminate on July 16. The grand stage for the finals is set in Arlington, Texas, while the earlier matches in pools 1 through 6 are being hosted in the cities around the world including Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya. The tournament’s format is exactly that of the previous year, featuring 16 teams in fierce competition across a total of 104 matches.
As part of the opening phase of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League, scheduled over a three-week period, each team engages in a minimum of 12 matches against teams with varied rankings. The elite eight, having garnered the highest points by the end of this segment, will proceed to the all-important finals. This ultimate phase is split into quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final match. It is important to note that the host nation is granted an automatic entry into the final stage.
