The fifth FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League began play on June 26. Every year, the Nations League features volleyball matches between international players. The occasion will happen from May 30 to July 16, 2023. The decisive round will take place at College Park Centre in Arlington, Texas. The top 16 nations from four volleyball confederations will compete in the VNL. The FIVB, the sport’s governing body, hosts one of the top international indoor competitions there. After a few minor adjustments, the final roster for the competition was produced.
The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League match between Thailand and Turkey will take place on June 29, 2023. This matchup features a battle between two powerful teams. Turkey is ranked sixth in the world, while Thailand is ranked fourteenth. In the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2022, Thailand and Turkey placed eighth and fourth, respectively. This time, the top spot in the standings is up for grabs between the two teams.
The first round of the women’s competition for VNL 2023 is divided into three weekly stages. To accommodate all 16 teams, the teams in the two pools alternate each week. The final round will feature the top eight teams after three weeks. During the pool round, there are 12 games played between each team. Eight teams will then participate in the competition’s final knockout round. The sequence of the knockout stages will be determined by the teams’ preliminary round standings. The preliminary rounds will take place in a number of cities, including Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, Suwon, Antalya, and Nagoya. Up until July 2, there will still be preliminary rounds. Then, the knockout rounds will start.
