The fifth season of the FIVB Men’s Nations League for Volleyball will take place in 2023. Every year, men’s international volleyball competitions are held. In June and July, the competition takes place. The crucial match will take place in Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland. Even though the final list of participating nations has changed, the overall strategy has not. However, there have been a few minor adjustments made to the final participant list. Due to the outcomes of the 2022 Nations League and Challenger Cup, Cuba’s rookies took the place of Australia in this edition.
The world’s top teams will compete in a fantastic international competition hosted by the FIVB, the body that governs the sport. The FIVB Men’s Nations League match between Slovenia and Netherlands will take place on July 9, 2023. In this competition, these are two outstanding teams. Slovenia is ranked eighth in the world, while the Netherlands is in position eleven. In the 2022 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League, Netherlands and Slovenia came in eighth and tenth, respectively.
The structure of the play is similar to that of the first. 16 men’s teams will compete against one another in eight-team pools in the next round. In the pool stage, each team plays 12 games against the other. Following that, the competition’s knockout round will feature eight teams. The semifinal knockout round will have been reached by all eight of these teams. Then, there will be eight matches in the knockout round: the bronze and gold medal matches, four quarterfinals, and two semifinals.
In the quarterfinal matches, the top-seeded team will face the eighth-ranked team, and the second-seeded team will face the seventh-seeded team, the third-seeded team will face the sixth-ranked team, and the fourth-seeded team will face the fifth-seeded team. The national team representing the host nation will be guaranteed a place in the Final round. If the host country finishes outside of the top eight after the first round, it will take the eighth position and play.
