The fifth season of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League kicked off on June 6, 2023, and is set to wrap up with the final game on July 23, 2023. Ergo Arena, situated in Gdańsk, Poland, has been chosen as the venue for the concluding knockout stage. The contest features sixteen teams, comprising 10 core and 6 challenger teams, all aiming to clinch the coveted VNL 2023 crown. With Poland having a guaranteed entry into the knockout stage as the host, the intense competition among the other fifteen teams is to secure one of the seven remaining slots for the final eight stage.
Slovenia is all set to face Canada on June 21, 2023, (IST) at the CO’MET Arena in Orleans, France, at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2023. The World No. 9 Slovenia will be facing the challenge from world-ranked 16th Canada. Slovenia is presently in the top four with three wins in four games, while Canada is placed at the bottom of the rankings, having won just one game in the five matches they have played. Slovenia will definitely have an edge over Canada if the current form of both the teams is taken into consideration.
