The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023, co-hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel, is underway, running from August 28 to September 16, 2023. Originally featuring a team of 24 squads, the competition now has four powerhouses – Poland, Slovenia, Italy, and France. Besides vying for the European crown, the top trio from the championship will earn automatic berths in the FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship 2025. However, it’s worth noting that Italy already has earned their spot in the upcoming global event, courtesy of their present world champion status.

On September 14, 2023, Poland will take on Slovenia in the semi-final match of the CEV Men’s EuroVolley 2023. Poland advanced to the semi-final phase after defeating Serbia in the quarter-finals by 3-1. On the other hand, Slovenia got the better of Poland with a similar margin to make their place in the last four stage of the competition.
