The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 is presently underway from August 28 to September 16, with four countries, Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel, sharing hosting duties. Initially, 24 teams participated in the competition, but now eight teams namely – Slovenia, Ukraine, France, Romania, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Serbia are fighting for a place in the semi-finals.

Aside from competing for the European title, teams will have the luxury to qualify for the FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship 2025. The three teams who excel at the European Volleyball Championship will secure their positions in the global event. However, Italy enjoys an automatic entry due to their current status as world champions.

On September 12, 2023, Poland will lock horns with Serbia in the quarter-final of the CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. Poland advanced to the last eight stage after defeating Belgium by 3-1 in the pre-quarters. On the other hand, Serbia earned a comfortable win against the Czech Republic by 3-0 to proceed to the quarters.
