The CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 is slated for August 15 to September 3, 2023. This event is overseen by Europe’s top volleyball organization, the CEV. It includes 24 national squads and the games are being held across four European countries – Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. In the previous championship held in 2021, Italy emerged as the best team, as they defeated Serbia with a score of 3-1 to become the champions.

On August 29, 2023, the Netherlands will play Bulgaria in the first quarter-final match of the Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. The Netherlands got the better of Switzerland in straight sets (3-0) to proceed to the quarters. On the other hand, Bulgaria defeated Slovakia in a nail-biting contest by 3-2 to book themselves a place in the last eight stage.
