The FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship 2023 is set to kick off in Manama, Bahrain, from July 7 to July 16, 2023. Sixteen teams from around the world, including Argentina, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Egypt, India, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Thailand, Tunisia, and the United States, will compete in the event. Italy, as the defending champion of the tournament, will aim to retain their title, which they won convincingly against Russia with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-20) victory in the 2021 edition of the championship.
On July 7, 2023, Mexico will face Italy at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship 2023 in Manama. Mexico’s best performance at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship 2023 was in 1977 the year in which they debuted which was a fourth-place finish. While, Italy’s best finish was in the last edition when they ended as the champion and this will be their 17th appearance in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship 2023.
