The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 began on May 30 and will mark its conclusion on July 16. The tournament’s final round is scheduled to take place in Arlington, Texas, while matches for pools 1 to 6 are being held in different cities such as Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya. The competition format remains the same as last year, featuring 16 teams and a total of 104 matches.

In the Preliminary Phase, which will be held in three weeks, each team will participate in a minimum of 12 matches against opponents of varying rankings. This means they will face teams positioned at different levels on the rankings table. The top eight teams with the highest points at the conclusion of the preliminary phase will advance to the final phase, which includes the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the grand final. The host nation automatically qualifies for the preliminary round.

Japan will next face Serbia on June 14, 2023, (IST), at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023.
