The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2023 is currently in progress, marking its fifth installment of international men’s volleyball competition. Slated from June 6 to July 23, 2023, this edition’s final round will be hosted at the prestigious Ergo Arena in Gdańsk, Poland after completion of Pool 1 to Pool 6 matches. The last year’s competition witnessed a sensational victory by France, securing their first-ever title. This year’s competition introduces Cuba to the mix, replacing Australia based on their performance in the 2022 Nations League and the 2022 Challenger Cup.

A total of sixteen teams are marking their presence in the competition. Among them, ten teams hold the status of “core teams – Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Iran, Japan, Poland, Serbia, and the USA. On the other hand, the remaining six teams, including Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cuba, Netherlands, and Slovenia, joined as “challenger teams,” and will try their best to avoid relegation from the tournament.

The Pool A and Pool B matches will mark its competition with the USA and Brazil facing each other as one of the final two games. After the matches in Canada and Japan, the games will now head to the Netherlands and France. However, the World no. 6 USA and World no. 4 Brazil will attempt to end their week 1 with a victory. Presently, the USA stands second on the team standings, while Brazil is in eighth position.
