Italy will take on North Macedonia in the Round of 16 match of the CEV Men's European Volleyball Championship 2023.

Currently taking place from August 28 to September 16, 2023, the CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 is being co-hosted by four nations – Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel. 16 out of the 24 national teams have advanced to the stage preceding the quarter-finals and will compete for slots in the next round. The tournament also serves as a stepping stone to the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship, where the three best-performing teams will gain automatic entry. Italy, however, already enjoys guaranteed participation in the world championship as they are the existing titleholders.
Italy will take on North Macedonia in the Round of 16 match of the CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. Italy, who are also one of the hosts, reached the pre-quarters after a dominant display in the Pool A, winning all their five matches. Meanwhile, North Macedonia who are another host of the prestigious event, with two wins and three losses, made it to the pre-quarter-final. Italy will definitely have an edge over North Macedonia in this contest.
