Iran and the Netherlands will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2022 when they face each other on Wednesday. These two teams won their respective opening two matches and are in a comfortable position to book a knockout ticket. With the winning streak of one these teams set to end on Wednesday, supporters can expect to see a pulsating encounter on display. Both sides made a strong start to this year’s competition. Iran started with a hard-fought battle against Argentina before prevailing 3-2 in the end. They followed it up with a comfortable 3-1 win over Egypt. Meanwhile, the Netherlands eased past Egypt 3-0 but had to dig deep against Argentina before beating them 3-2 in the end. Overall in Pool F, the Netherlands and Iran have five points each from two games, while Argentina have two points and Egypt have nothing to show for till now.

The 24-team competition will take place from August 26th to September 11th. All of the teams are divided into six groups with each pool consisting of four teams. The group phase will last for six days, with each team playing once against their pool opponents. Following the completion of the schedule, 16 teams will be ascertained. It will have all six pool winners, runners-up, and the best four third-placed teams. They will proceed to the first round of elimination.
