The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 which is the fifth iteration for the women’s began on May 30 and will continue until July 16, 2023. There are seven venues where the competition will be taking place – Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya, with the final eight knockout games in Texas, USA. Since the USA is hosting the women’s championship, the nation will have a guaranteed place in the knockout phase irrespective of where they finish.

The Week 2 of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 is almost about to end and the 16 teams are battling it out to secure themselves a position in the final eight stage. Presently, Poland is on the top of the team rankings with 20 points having won seven matches and lost one game. The final’s host and three-time champion USA have also performed exceptionally well in the tournament and are placed second with 19 points. Meanwhile, Turkey, China, and Brazil are currently placed third, fourth, and fifth respectively with 19, 18, and 18 points respectively.

The last game of Week 2 will see Germany facing South Korea on June 19, 2023, (IST) at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023. South Korea have been below par throughout the season as they have failed to open their account, losing all seven games that they have played. On the other hand, Germany has been consistent in the tournament, clinching five wins in seven games, and seems poised to qualify for the knockout stage. South Korea will be looking for their first win of the tournament as they face Germany.
