The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship is set to kick off on August 28, 2023, and will run through September 16. This is a collaborative event hosted by four countries – Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel. A total of 24 squads will battle it out in four primary groups. The top three standout teams will secure their spots in the FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship come 2025. Italy, being the reigning World Champions, has an automatic entry for that championship.

On August 30, 2023, the CEV Men’s EuroVolley 2023 will see Germany compete against Estonia in a Pool A preliminary match. Germany advanced to the main stage of the CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 after an impressive performance in the same competition’s last edition. Meanwhile, Estonia made it to this phase after they finished as the runner-up in the Pool C of the Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 qualification.
