The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023, co-hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel, is nearing its finale. Beginning on August 28 and concluding on September 16, the championship has seen participation from 24 European nations. While the contest for the third-place finish is still not determined, Poland, France, and Slovenia have secured their spots for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025. Italy had already qualified for the event as the current world titleholders.
After the exciting semi-final matches, France and Slovenia will battle for the bronze medal at the men’s EuroVolley 2023 on September 16, 2023. Both France and Slovenia lost their respective encounters against Italy and Poland to move to the third-place match. France has had two third-place finishes in the history of the competition. On the other hand, Slovenia, who came close to winning their first tournament in the 2019 edition, have never finished third in the competition.
