The fifth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League took off on May 30, 2023, with the grand finale slated to be held on July 16, 2023. Arlington, Texas, is all set to host the finals. The competition follows the same pattern which was established in the year 2022, featuring 16 teams facing each other in 104 matches. Before the final stage, a preliminary stage is being held where games are divided into pool matches numbered 1 to 6 which are being hosted across several global locations such as Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya.

In the first phase that lasts for three weeks, each team takes on a variety of opponents by competing in a total of 12 matches. The elite eight, who manage to obtain the most points during this period, will move ahead to the final phase. The concluding segment comprises three rounds – quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final match. As the United States is the host of the final stage, they have already guaranteed a spot among the final eight, however, their exact position is not known.
