The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 commenced on May 30, 2023, and will conclude on July 16. The final round is set to take place in Arlington, Texas, with matches for pools 1 to 6 being held in various cities including Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya. The tournament format remains the same as the 2022 edition, featuring 16 teams and a total of 104 matches.
During the Preliminary Phase, which spans three weeks, each team will compete in a minimum of 12 matches against opponents of different rankings. This includes facing teams from various positions on the rankings table. The top eight teams with the highest points at the end of the preliminary phase will advance to the final phase, which includes the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the grand final. The host nation automatically qualifies for the preliminary round.
Looking ahead to Week 2, a match is scheduled between Croatia and the United States on June 14, 2023 at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023. The United States currently holds the third position on the points table with four wins, while Croatia is yet to secure a victory in the tournament. The United States will aim to continue their winning momentum as they face Croatia, a team ranked 27th in the tournament.
