The FIVB Men’s Nations League for Volleyball’s fifth season will start on June 6, 2023, and end on July 23, 2023. The Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, will host the FIVB Men’s Nations League championship game in 2023. Due to its position as the final-stage host, Poland has already qualified for the knockout round. The remaining fifteen teams will compete for spots in the top eight for a chance to move on to the knockout round.
Japan finished Week 1 of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2023 with a perfect record of four victories in four matches, vaulting them to the top of the standings. The USA, Argentina, Slovenia, Brazil, and Poland, the host nation, all achieved three victories in their opening four matches. Each participating nation has attained at least one victory, and each competing team has accumulated points. As Week 2 is about to begin, the 16 participating teams will be prepared to make an impact to secure a top finish.
Last year Germany refused to participate in their Volleyball Nations League (VNL) match against China, according to the FIVB, the organization that oversees volleyball in the world. The Chinese athletes were cleared by local authorities despite testing positive for COVID-19, according to a statement on the FIVB’s official website. “Germany refused to play against China despite that fact,” the statement read. Germany automatically forfeits the game by the VNL 2022 Competition Regulations, giving China a 3-0 victory. “
