The fifth season of the FIVB Men’s Nations League for Volleyball will run from June 6, 2023, to July 23, 2023. The FIVB Men’s Nations League championship match will take place in 2023 at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland. Poland has already qualified for the knockout round as the host of the final stage. The remaining fifteen teams will contend for spots in the top eight to advance to the knockout stage.
With four victories in four games, Japan finished Week 1 of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2023 with a perfect record, moving them up to the top of the standings. In their first four games, the host country, Poland, the USA, Argentina, Slovenia, Brazil, and the latter four all won three of them. Each competing team has accrued points, and every participating nation has achieved at least one victory. The 16 participating teams will be ready to contribute as Week 2 gets underway to finish first.
Last year, following a 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-21) loss to the reigning Olympic gold medalists France on Friday in Ottawa, the Canadian men’s volleyball team dropped its second consecutive FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2022 match. Stephen Maar scored 12 points to lead Canada. With eight more, Pearson Eshenko. Barthélémy Chinenyeze led France with 15 points.
