Two of the challenger teams, Canada and Cuba will face each other at the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League 2023.
The fifth edition of the prestigious FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League is underway from June 6 and will run until July 23, 2023. The event’s preliminary phase will be held in seven different venues, with the final round taking center stage at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk, Poland. This year, Cuba will be making their first appearance as they will replace Australia owing to the results of the 2022 Nations League and the 2022 Challenger Cup.
A total of sixteen teams will battle it out in the tournament. Ten of them, including Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Iran, Japan, Poland, Serbia, and the USA, have earned core team status, shielding them from the risk of relegation. On the other hand, six challenger teams – Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cuba, Netherlands, and Slovenia – will vie for glory, with the threat of potential relegation over their participation.
