The fifth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League commenced on May 30, 2023, and will commence until July 16, 2023. This prestigious VNL 2023 for women is being held across seven different venues, namely Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, Antalya, and Texas, USA, where the final eight knockout games will take place. As the host nation for the women’s championship, the United States is granted an automatic spot in the knockout phase, regardless of their performance in the preliminary rounds.

The Week 1 and Week 2 matches have ended and the VNL 2023 for women is heading towards its third week. At the end of Week 2 games, Poland stands on the top of the table having won seven games and lost one in the eight matches they have played. The host nation, the USA, is currently placed second on the team standings with the same number of wins as Poland, but with a point less (19) than the Polish team (20).

As the third week competitions begin on the usual Tuesday, Bulgaria will take on the bottom-placed team South Korea at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 on June 27, 2023. While Bulgaria has managed to secure one win out of the eight matches played, South Korea has been the below-par team this season, as they have not been able to open their account yet. As both teams are struggling at the moment, this game will be crucial for both to boost their confidence.
