The stage is set for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship 2023, taking place in Manama, Bahrain, from the 7th to the 16th of July , 2023. 16 Teams from five confederations, including Argentina, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Egypt, India, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Thailand, Tunisia, and the United States, will be battling it out. Italy is coming back as the defending champions, having triumphed in the 2021 edition with an impressive 3-0 sweep against Russia (25-19, 25-22, 25-20).

Brazil won their first match against Italy by 3-0, while Mexico lost to the reigning champion, Italy, by 0-3. The Brazilian side will look to claim their second victory of the edition, whereas Mexico will aim for their first as they play on Saturday.
