On June 26, the fifth FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League kicked off. Each year, international volleyball players battle it out in the Nations League. The event will be held from May 30 to July 16, 2023. The decisive round will take place at College Park Centre in Arlington United States. The top 16 countries from four volleyball confederations will compete in the VNL. It is one of the top international indoor competitions held by the FIVB, the governing body of the sport. The final roster for the competition was created after a few minor changes.

On June 28, 2023, Brazil and Italy will play in a match for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League. Two big teams will face off in this matchup. Italy is ranked third in the world, while Brazil is ranked second. Brazil and Italy came in second and first place, respectively, in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2022. This time around, the top spot in the standings is up for grabs between the two teams.

What kind of structure will the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League have in 2023?

The first round of the women’s competition for VNL 2023 consists of three weekly stages. The teams in the two pools alternate each week in order to fit all 16 teams. After three weeks, the top eight teams will play in the championship round. Each team competes in 12 games during the pool round. The competition’s final knockout round will then feature eight teams. The teams’ standings after the preliminary round will determine the order of the knockout stages. Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, Suwon, Antalya, and Nagoya are just a few of the cities where the preliminary rounds will be held. There will be additional preliminary rounds through July 2 before the knockout rounds begin.
