Tom Aspinall, a name that has become synonymous with power and precision in the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), is a British professional MMA fighter who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Known for his agility and knockout power, Aspinall has carved a niche for himself in the competitive world of MMA, earning recognition and respect from fans and fellow fighters alike.
Born on April 4, 1993, in Manchester, England, Aspinall began his journey in martial arts at a young age, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under his father, who was a black belt in the discipline. His early exposure to combat sports laid the foundation for his future career in MMA. Aspinall made his professional MMA debut in 2014, fighting in various promotions across Europe. His impressive performances caught the attention of UFC scouts, and he was signed to the promotion in 2020. His UFC debut came against Jake Collier at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till, where he won via a first-round knockout. This victory marked the beginning of a successful run in the UFC, with Aspinall winning his subsequent fights against Alan Baudot and Andrei Arlovski.
Aspinall would then get scheduled for a fight with Sergei Pavlovich on September 4, 2021, at UFC Fight Night 191. But the fans would unfortunately not be able to see this much-anticipated fight, since Sergei Pavlovich would get removed from the card due to visa issues that limited his travel. However, Pavlovich would get replaced by Sergey Spivak. Aspinall would once again triumph against his opponent and finish the fight via a technical knockout in the first round. This fight would get him his third Performance of the Night award.
Tom Aspinall’s next opponent would be Shamil Abdurakhimov and both of them were scheduled to fight on March 19, 2022, at UFC Fight Night 204. But it was later announced that Tom Aspinall would face Alexander Volkov instead of Shamil. Aspinall won against Volkov via a straight armbar submission in the first round and once again got the Performance of the Night award. Recently Tom Aspinall has been recovering from his knee injury and is scheduled to fight Marcin Tybura on July 22, 2023.
Aspinall’s achievements in the UFC have led to financial success. His net worth is estimated to be between $500,000-$750,000, although the exact figures remain undisclosed. This wealth primarily stems from his profession as a skilled MMA fighter. Aspinall’s earnings come from different sources. His fight purses, which are guaranteed payments, consist of a show purse and a win bonus paid if he wins the match. Additionally, he earns money from Performance of the Night bonuses awarded for exceptional displays at UFC events. Aspinall is also endorsed by Venum and no information about his regular earnings is known.
