The 2022 Emilia-Romagna Open is a professional tennis tournament held on clay courts in Parma, Italy, that is part of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 for men and the WTA 250 for women. The fifth edition of the men’s event took place on the 2022 ATP Challenger Tour from June 13 to June 19. Due to the cancellation of tournaments in China during the 2022 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the suspension of tournaments in China following former WTA player Peng Shuai’s allegation of sexual assault against a Chinese government official, the women’s event is primarily organised by WTA.
The WTA Emilia-Romagna Open 2022 will feature five rounds of competition apart from the qualifying matches. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final and final. The tournament is scheduled to start on Monday, September 26 and conclude on Sunday, October 2.
