The Tel Aviv tournament was held from 1978 to 1981 and again from 1983 through 1996. Amos Mansdorf, an Israeli tennis player, reached the final five times, winning in 1987, making him the only Israeli to do so. In 1989, Jimmy Connors won his final professional singles title in the event. The tournament still holds the ATP record for the youngest tournament champion.
The ATP Tel Aviv Open 2022 will feature five rounds of competition apart from the qualifying matches. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final and final. The tournament is scheduled to start on Monday, September 26 and conclude on Sunday, October 2.
