Zhang Zhizhen, a Chinese tennis player, was born on October 16, 1996. He is the top tennis player in China right now. In 2021, Zhang became the first Chinese man to participate in Wimbledon’s main event under the Open Era. He achieved his highest singles rating of No. 97 in the world on October 24, 2022, and his highest doubles ranking of No. 211 in September 2017. He has won two singles, two doubles, and two titles on the ITF Futures Tour as well as two on the ATP Challenger Tour. He was the first Chinese player to enter the ATP singles top 100 rankings in October 2022. Zhang’s ATP Tour Masters 1000 main draw debut came in October when he lost to Hubert Hurkacz at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. Zhang won the 2019 Shenzhen Longhua Open’s championship as the month of October came to a close by defeating Li Zhe. Zhang placed 138th at the end of 2019. a season-high final ranking. Zhang qualified for a Grand Slam main draw at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships after competing (and losing in the second round) at the 2021 Nottingham Trophy. This was his first time participating in a main draw at the grand slam level. He qualified for Wimbledon as the first male Chinese in the Open Era. Apart from Wu Di at the Australian Open in 2013, 2014, and 2016, Zhang Ze at the Australian Open in 2014, and Li Zhe at the 2019 Australian Open, he was the first Chinese male to play singles in the main draw of any Grand Slam since 1968.

Zhang defeated ATP Tour champion Robin Haase in the final eight and former junior number one Harold Mayot in the semifinals of his first hard court competition since June to win the title in Poland. Despite winning the opening set six games to one, he was defeated in the championship match by fifth-seeded Tomá Machá. Zhang’s performance brought him to No. 138, just two positions shy of his career high. He made his US Open debut, competed successfully in the qualifying round, and, along with his friend Yibing Wu, qualified for the main draw, creating history for his nation. After losing against Tim van Rijthoven and failing to convert seven match points in the third set, he just missed becoming the first Chinese male national to triumph in a Grand Slam main event match in 63 years. He won his second match at the ATP 500 level at the 2022 Astana Open after beating Aslan Karatsev after advancing to the main draw. In the second round, he was defeated by fifth seed Andrey Rublev. On October 10, 2022, he attained a new career-high rating of No. 110 as a result. Zhang Zhizen and his Parents, Family

Zhang’s parents were both sportsmen, and he was born in Shanghai. His mother is a former shooter named Qin Wei, and his father is a former Shanghai Shenhua defender named Zhang Weihua, who retired in 2004. The ATP Tour website stated that the child began playing at the age of four and that his father did not want him to play football. In 2013, Sohu Sports revealed that at age 7, Zhang could defeat his father in a game of tennis.
