Former Roland Garros winner Barbora Krejcikova will face Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the 2022 Wimbledon.
On Saturday, July 2, former Roland Garros winner Barbora Krejcikova will face Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the 2022 Wimbledon. There will be no head-to-head record because they will be meeting for the first time. Barbora Krejicikova, the 14th seed at Wimbledon this year, has breezed through her opening two matches in London. Her game, however, flows quite smoothly on grass since she does not strive to outhit her opponents. Her biggest problem is that her second serve has grown quite shaky and prone to double faults.Â
Ajla Tomljanovic has put in two solid performances in her first two Wimbledon matches. Last year, she reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals, where she lost to eventual winner Ashleigh Barty, as did Krejicikova. Tomljanovic has a terrific record on grass this year and will be optimistic of putting up another strong performance in the third round. Krejicikova has easily advanced to the third round without having to work too hard. While Tomljanovic has been more forceful in her approach and appears to be in peak condition.
Barbora Krejcikova v Ajla Tomljanovic are scheduled to face each other on Saturday, July 2 in the third round of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championship is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 2 as the likes of Swiatek, Badosa, Krejcikova and others will be in action.
