Top seeded men’s pair Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury will face the French duo of Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the quarter-final of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. Ram and Salisbury so far have defeated the likes of Taberner/Altmaier, Nys/Martin and Matos/Vega Hernandez. In the latest match, the US/UK duo recorded a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 win which saw them hit seven aces and win two out of 10 break points.
Mahut and Roger-Vasselin might have gotten through to the quarter-finals due to a walkover, but they have been quite impressive regardless. The Frenchmen played out a thrilling five-setter in the second round against the team of Hans Hach and Philipp Oswald. The score at the end of the match was 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2), 6,4 in their favour. There might be 11 seeds between the two duos but the match will surely be an interesting one.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Wednesday, July 6 in the round of 16 of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championships is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 6 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
