The No.2 seed Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic will face against the No.6 seed Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the semi-final round of Wimbledon 2022 in men’s doubles. Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic continue to play in scorching hot manner on the grass at Wimbledon. On Tuesday at grass-court major, the reigning champion easily defeated the 11th seeds Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies, winning 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. Mektic and Pavic maintained sustained pressure on Krawietz and Mies, the two-time defending champions at Roland Garros, while facing no break points and won 85% (45/53) of the points behind their initial delivery. The second seeds won in one hour and 39 minutes and improved to 10-0 as a team at Wimbledon.
Meanwhile the Colombian duo Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah have also earned their way to the semi-final round of men’s double. Denis Kudla and Jack Sock retired from the quarterfinal match with Colombian pair leading 6-3, 6-3, 6-7, and the Colombian combo proceeded to their second semi-final at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The only other time Cabal and Farah advanced to Wimbledon’s semifinals, in 2019, the Colombian team won the championship. In London, the 19-time tour-level champions are vying for their first tour-level victory of 2022.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Thursday, July 7 in the Semi-final of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championship is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 7 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
