Second seed Cameron Norrie has suffered a difficult few weeks leading up to the 2022 ATP Stockholm Open, where he will hope to rekindle his form and perhaps even win the whole competition. The Brit last participated in the Korea Open but could only play one match. Norrie had to withdraw due to an injury concern from his second round match against Jenson Brooksby and he has not seen any competitive tennis action since. His US Open campaign was a decent one, however, as he made it through to the round of 16 after defeating the likes of Holger Rune, Joao Sousa and Benoit Paire. The Brit will face Aslan Karatsev in the round of 16 in Stockholm.
Russian Aslan Karatsev’s lat competitive tennis action came only a week ago in the ATP Firenze Open. Karatsev made it through to the second round after Tallon Griekspoor was dealt an injury blow but was ousted by Mikael Ymer 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-6. Karatsev beat Lukas Rosol in the first round of Stockholm 6-3, 6-2 after scoring four aces and returning four out of nine break points.
