Brandon Nakashima defeated Jack Draper handily to maintain his unblemished record at the ATP Next Gen Finals and set up a matchup with Jiri Lehecka.
After losing in the semi-finals in 2021, Nakashima won all of his group matches in Milan. This time, he won with a score of 4-6 (8-6) 1-4 4-2 4-3 (7-5). The world No. 49-ranked player, who is only 21 years old, dominated much of Saturday’s (AEDT) second semi-final, although he did had to come back from 5-2 down in the final set tie-break. After defeating the British player Draper, Nakashima advances to face Lehecka, who lost to the American in straight sets during the group round.
