Lorenzo Musetti and Chun-Hsin Tseng will take on one another in the round-robin stage of the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals on November 8.
Lorenzo Musetti, who was formerly ranked 83rd on the charts this season, enters this competition ranked 23rd in the world after winning two titles in the year 2022. Musetti shocked Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Hamburg final, giving him his first career victory at the highest level. After that, he defeated Matteo Berrettini in the Napoli Open final to win his second ATP championship. Musetti made an unexpected quarter final at the Paris Masters the week prior to this competition. His performance in the Masters 1000 tournament was the best of his career, and it propelled him to his present-day, highest ranking.
Chun-Hsin Tseng‘s rise from 190th to 83rd in the ATP Rankings has made this season one to remember, but he isn’t quite in the form he would have liked going into this tournament’s opening match. Tseng hasn’t won much since reaching the second round of the Winston-Salem Open in August. Only two victories have been produced in Tseng’s last ten games, with the last four games producing four straight defeats. His other standout performances occurred on the Challenger circuit, but with Musetti in the mix, things might not go as smoothly unless Musetti gets too relaxed.
Lorenzo Musetti and Chun-Hsin Tseng are scheduled to take on one another in the round-robin stage of the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals on November 8. The tournament is scheduled to be held from November 8 to November 12, 2022.
The eight players at the ATP Next Gen Finals 2022 have been divided into two groups, these are the Green group and the Red group. Each player will play one match against everyone in their group and the top two from each will make it through to the semi-finals. The top finisher of one group will face the second finisher of the other. The winner of those two matches will then meet in the final to decide who will win the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals crown.
