Four losses in a row in the opening round for Lorenzo Musetti has been a troubling pattern for the inexperienced Italian. Musetti has incredible potential and plays beautifully on clay, but he never maintains consistency. Even when he’s performing well, Musetti struggles to maintain his intensity for the whole of the contest. He encountered Laslo Djere last week in Bastad, who knew just how to defeat the Italian. His performance this year was heavily anticipated, and while he had a respectable 21-17 record, it was by no means outstanding. Lajovic is a difficult opponent, but if he plays to his strengths, he will have a chance. Will he, however?
A while back, Dusan Lajovic had some impressive tennis play, but the Serbian player has since struck a wall. His career has been marked by inconsistency, and he has never completely figured it out. He occasionally has fantastic performances, especially on clay, but those times are long gone. He only managed to partially improve this year, which was terrible overall with a 17-20 record, in the challenger circuit. When he came up against more formidable competitors, he frequently lost. In his most recent competition, the Salzburg challenger, Thiago Monteiro prevailed over him. His most significant setbacks have been on hard courts, where he has a 3-8 record. On clay, however, he has a far superior 13-10 record. The type of player who will arrive in Hamburg is difficult to forecast because you never know what you’ll receive from him.
Lorenzo Musetti and Dusan Lajovic will take on each other on Monday, July 18 in the first round of the 2022 ATP Hamburg European open. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 18 and conclude on July 24 this year.

The 2022 Hamburg European Open will have five rounds of play both for the ATP and WTA competitors. These are the first round, second round, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The tournament is scheduled to be held from July 18 to July 24, but the qualifiers will commence from July 16 for both the men’s and women’s categories.
