While Ons Jabeur‘s loss to Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon final would have come as a bit of a shock to many, her performances in the three subsequent hard court events on the US Open Series have come as a slightly bigger surprise. Because Jabeur has only won two matches and lost three in the three tournaments she has participated in since that fateful London afternoon. The Cincinnati Open third-round loss to the very seasoned and highly regarded Petra Kvitova can be viewed as something that could happen, but the defeats to Veronika Kudermetova and Qinwen Zheng were unexpected. Accordingly, Jabeur enters the US Open with a win-loss record of 10-8 on hard court surfaces, which is pretty unimpressive given the type of player she has developed into. She’ll try to make a strong start here.
When Madison Brengle advanced to the quarterfinals of the Adelaide International and then the third round of the Miami Open, it appeared that she had started the season very successfully. From that point on, however, Brengle continually struggled to make an impact in any of the other competitions and only ever won back-to-back matches on the WTA 125 circuit. She once went on a seven-match losing streak in the main draws of tournaments of different levels, and it wasn’t until a WTA 125 tournament in Vancouver that she finally recorded a victory. Brengle, however, will be happy to enter the contest with experience after making it as far as the Cleveland Open quarterfinals. especially considering that she defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Ons Jabeur and Madison Brengle are scheduled to face one another in the first round match of the US Open 2022 on Tuesday, August 30. The 2022 US Open is all set to begin from August 29 till September 11.

The 2022 US Open will see six rounds of action excluding the qualifiers. These include the round of 64, round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final for both men’s and women’s. The tournament is scheduled to commence on August 29 and conclude on September 11 this year.
